Many volunteers and organizations team up for Family Weekend

Midwestern State University celebrated Family Weekend Sept. 18-19 with visiting families, fun events, new T-shirts, and an exciting football game.

Seventeen organizations and groups helped make it a great weekend at MSU Texas, including academic colleges, student organizations, and community partners that hosted booths and activities. An estimated 40 volunteers contributed to Family Weekend, according to Angie Reay, Director of Recreational Sports, Wellness Programs and the Redwine Wellness Center at MSU Texas.

“Thank you to everyone across campus and throughout our community who poured so much time, energy, and creativity into making Family Weekend such a wonderful experience,” Reay said. “From the planning and preparation to all the work happening behind the scenes and throughout the weekend, every contribution mattered, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who came together to make it all possible.”

The football game capped the weekend Saturday night as the Mustangs scored a school-record point total in an 84-17 victory over Western New Mexico.
