Get Ready to Roll at the WFMA’s Print Rally and Art Market during Homecoming Week!
The Wichita Falls Museum of Art (WFMA) at MSU Texas is pleased to announce the WFMA Print Rally and Art Market. This upcoming event is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between the WFMA, Juanita & Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts at MSU Texas, Wichita Falls Independent School District area schools, Nocona High School, Iowa Park High School, City View ISD, and Christ Academy. It will feature the creative artworks of more than 130 talented students with meticulously hand-carved wood blocks, transferring their prints on paper and fabric.
The use of a steamroller adds a unique twist to this traditional art practice. The printed artworks will become a part of the WFMA Education Collection and will be exhibited at the WFMA in the Art Lounge from October 19 to December 6. Mark your calendars and stop by to experience the excitement firsthand! This year’s event is made possible through the generosity of United Rentals and City View ISD with support from numerous individuals and organizations.
“We welcome families to the MSU Texas campus and the upcoming printmaking art event at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at the MSU Texas, where creativity and fun come together for an engaging, hands-on experience suitable for all ages,” said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor Marcy Brown Marsden.
