MSU Texas alum Ripley Tate featured in Forbes for nonprofit article

Midwestern State University graduate Ripley Tate was featured in this month’s Forbes Nonprofit Council column.

The column titled “15 Email Marketing Tips to Help Nonprofits Expand Their Reach” encouraged readers to keep their emails concise and relevant.

Tate graduated from Midwestern State in 1996 with a degree in Marketing and International Trade. That same year Ripley started as a commission-only salesman for Web Fire Communications Inc.

What was originally planned as a six-month, temporary position turned into a career, and ultimately ownership of the communications company.

Tate has a strong relationship with the nonprofit community in Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, Texoma Community Credit Union, and the Center for Nonprofit Management and Leadership are among the boards and organizations he has served.

The Forbes Nonprofit Council is an invitation-only organization of senior-level executives in successful nonprofit organizations. Tate was vetted by a review committee and selected to become part of the Council in February.

“We are honored to welcome Ripley Tate into the community,” said Scott Gerber, founder of Forbes Councils, the collective that includes Forbes Nonprofit Council. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world.”
