2024 Hardin, Clark Scholars Named at Honors Recognition Banquet
The Hardin and Clark Scholars, the top academic honors at Midwestern State University, and other outstanding students were named during the annual Honors Recognition Banquet April 19 in D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
Victoria Martinez was named Hardin Scholar. Martinez is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs. The Hardin Scholar is the university’s highest award for academic excellence and was begun in 1962 by the Hardin Foundation. It is presented each spring to a student during his or her senior year and a $3,000 scholarship award is given with the honor.
Martinez is a Priddy Scholar and Student Ambassador at MSU Texas, where she also a member of the Dillard College Student Advisory Board and treasurer of Circle K International. She has earned distinction on the President’s Honor Roll each of her semesters at MSU Texas and was a nominee for this year’s Junior Woman of the Year. Her research interests include “How Beauty Standards Shape America” and reasons why companies merge or acquisition their companies.
As a mentor Café Con Leche in Road to College, Martinez encourages middle school students to pursue post-secondary education, provides financial aid service for the organization, and travels to assist families in the completion of FAFSA and scholarship applications. She also volunteers with the American Red Cross and Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
Finalists for the Hardin Scholar were Brandon Lewis Goins and Marcus Mario Morris.
Levi Kevin Schitoskey, who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing, was named Clark Scholar. The Clark award was established in 1976 to honor E.B. Clark, a former chairman of the Board of Trustees of the MSU Foundation, and carries with it a $1,500 scholarship award. It is presented each spring to a student in his or her junior year.
Schitoskey is active on the MSU Texas campus as a Mustangs Crew leader, member of the MSU Texas Student Nursing Association, philanthropy chair of the Inter-Fraternal Council, and chair for safety and philanthropy for Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Since attending MSU Texas, Schitoskey has earned President’s Honor Roll recognition, and participated in MSU leadership retreats, Round-Up Week, and the annual Gunn College Community Health Fair. Levi is the lead organizer for St. Jude charity events and blood drives with the American Red Cross and helps to setup or participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Boxaton charity weekend, and the Women’s Heart Association. He recently raised more then $3,000 for the Military Hero’s Campaign, volunteers with the Wichita Falls and Tarrant County food banks, and is an active member at First United Methodist Church.
Schitoskey has wanted to be a nurse for as long as he can remember. His goal is to graduate summa cum laude from MSU Texas, begin working toward a master’s degree in nursing, and to be a transport nurse for the Cook’s Children Hospital flight team.

Leadership awards were presented to Woman of the Year Ebany Anjorlique Hanna, Man of the Year Andres Christopher Revis, Outstanding Graduate Woman Isabella Rose Black, Outstanding Graduate Man Brandon Joseph Kraft, Outstanding Senior Woman Caroline Greyson Gomez, Outstanding Senior Man Nathan Stanley Toledo, Outstanding Junior Woman Marisol Ariana Mora, Outstanding Junior Man Ethan Joel Bailey, Outstanding Sophomore Woman Madisyn Butler, Outstanding Sophomore Man Rykir Joe Allen Evans, Outstanding Freshman Woman Jenna Elise Redding, and Outstanding Freshman Man Jesus Jair Mendoza.
The Viola Grady Leadership Award was presented to Brandon Lewis Goins; the James L. Stewart Service Award was presented to the Respiratory Therapists Association; and the Howard Farrell Community Excellence Award was presented to Madison Hailey Adrienne Ingraham. The Alumni Association Award was presented to Andres Christopher Revis.
