McCoy College hosting Stem Conference March 27
The McCoy College of Science, Mathematics & Engineering is hosting a STEM Conference for MSU Texas students and high school sophomores at Bolin Science Hall and McCoy Engineering Hall on March 27.
MSU Texas has tailored its education offerings to connect with local and regional companies and hopes future scientists can gain knowledge and be inspired at the conference. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fields covered include medical, engineering, environmental, data and computational, and demos, job, and career expo.
“Wichita Falls and the surrounding areas have numerous career paths related to the sciences. Whether it is medical, engineering, computational, or environmental, MSU Texas has majors and pathways connected to local, state, and regional companies,” said Candice Fulton, Assistant Professor and Laboratory Coordinator of Chemistry. “Many of our students receive scholarships, internships, and job opportunities because of these connections. Wichita Falls has strong scientists, and MSU Texas is a great place to begin that journey. We hope to inspire the next generation of future scientists with the passion and expertise in our own community.”
