Dillard College of Business Administration earns extended AACSB accreditation
The Dillard College of Business Administration at Midwestern State University is pleased to announce its third reaccreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. The Dillard College first earned accreditation and membership in 2010.
Achieving AACSB accreditation involves a rigorous process that includes an in-depth report involving strategic planning and innovation, student success, and thought leadership and community impact. A peer-review team of three business deans then conduct an on-site visit and their report and commendation are reviewed and approved by AACSB.
“Retaining our accreditation through AACSB is an ongoing process that signifies our commitment to continuous innovation and improvement in business education,” said Jeff Stambaugh, dean of the Dillard College of Business Administration. “Our students and our community benefit from the high standards set by our accrediting body.”
“AACSB reaccreditation speaks to the hard work of faculty and staff to provide a quality and meaningful education that will provide a credential of value to our students for their careers and future,” said MSU Texas Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Marcy Brown Marsden.
AACSB International is the world’s largest network and global standard-setting body for business education. The accreditation is recognized worldwide as the highest standard of quality with only 6% of the world’s leading business schools achieving the accreditation through the organization. Today, AACSB has 1,037 accredited institutions in more than 65 countries and territories.
“This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication and talent of amazing colleagues,” said Stambaugh. “I am extremely proud of MSU Texas and the Dillard College for achieving six more years of being recognized among the best business schools across the globe.”
The Dillard College offers undergraduate degree programs in accounting, economics, finance, general business, management, business analytics and information systems, and marketing. The college also offers a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in accounting, business analytics, and energy management. In addition, six college centers provide specialized resources and expertise.
