Inaugural Maroon and Gold Giving Day energizes donors
Midwestern State University celebrated a successful inaugural Maroon and Gold Giving Day as the campus community and donors came together for 1,922 minutes of giving in honor of the university’s 1922 founding.
Giving Day generated support from 536 unique donors, raising a total of $161,400—an average gift of $301. The strong participation included both longtime supporters and first-time donors.
The University Advancement team at MSU Texas was excited to see so many faithful and first-time donors alike sharing their great spirit for this inaugural event, one they hope will grow in 2027 and beyond.
“Our inaugural Maroon and Gold Giving Day exceeded every expectation,” said Garrett Holland, Director of Annual and Leadership Giving. “We not only surpassed our donor goal but also unlocked multiple challenges that amplified the impact of every contribution. What inspires me most is the spirit our donors ignited this year that will continue to grow this tradition as it evolves in the years ahead.”
University leaders anticipate building on this success in 2027 and beyond as Maroon and Gold Giving Day becomes a great tradition at MSU Texas.
