After years of hard work, the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas is thrilled to announce that its Collection Database is now LIVE on its website.

The WFMA’s extensive Online Collection Database is an indispensable tool in enhancing teaching, learning, and research activities. The Online Collection Database increases accessibility and collaboration, and it is free, convenient, and available anywhere around the world.

The museum’s collection represents diverse artistic ideas and offers faculty, researchers, students, and adult learners scholarly content that contributes to academic achievement and keeps learners motivated. The WFMA Permanent Collection offers audiences opportunities to explore timely themes, engage in visual literacy, and experience American art history.

Consisting primarily of works on paper by American artists, the Permanent Collection holds more than 1,600 fine art pieces from 1677 to the present. The Collection also includes paintings, sculptures, and historical photographs. The WFMA is continually building a tagging system and developing primary source materials for individual artworks in the collection to aid users in any academic field of study.
