MSU Texas spring commencement set for May 13
Almost 700 students are expected to walk the stage during Midwestern State University’s commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls.
Students graduating with the highest grade point averages from each of the six academic colleges will be honored with the President’s Medal for Excellence. Recipients will receive their medals from MSU Texas Interim President Keith Lamb.
Graduates will hear words of encouragement from MSU Texas leaders and alumni.
Individual college faculty awards and the Hardin Professor will be announced. The faculty awards are decided on by a committee of peers within the respective colleges.
Hardin Professor is the highest honor bestowed upon a faculty member at the university each year. The award was established in 1962 by the Hardin Foundation for Wichita County to honor an MSU Texas faculty member whose teaching and research during the preceding 12 months has brought distinction to the professor and the institution.
