MSU Texas Model UN team wins Oustanding Delegation, two position papers

New York is the home of the United Nations, or in this case, the National Model United Nations. Fifteen Midwestern State University students traveled more than 1,500 miles to the Big Apple for a chance to compete in the National Model United Nations conference. At the closing ceremonies in the United Nations Building, the Mustangs earned Outstanding Delegation Award for their representation of Nepal plus two different position paper awards. It was the second time in three years to accomplish that.

While in New York, the Mustangs worked hard and played hard. During the five days, they stayed busy attending conferences and writing position papers, but also made time to explore New York. The group tried authentic Sichuan Chinese food and Boba tea from China Town, witnessed Times Square's colorful lights and gargantuan screens, and even tried their hands at the Subway.
