Mass Comm students earn exhibit at national film festival

MSU Texas students selected for Visions 10 Film Festival

A documentary “Disgrace To Embrace,” produced by students in the Midwestern State University Mass Communication Department, was recently selected for exhibition at the annual Visions 10 Film Festival.

The program was produced by MSU Texas students Madison Davis, Jadon Lane, and Micah Logan. It was one of only 28 films selected. “Disgrace To Embrace” detailed how a historical footnote, the World’s Littlest Skyscraper, became a lasting symbol of endurance in a north Texas community, and how a conman from the early twentieth century changed the landscape of Wichita Falls.

Visions 10 is a national organization run in connection with the University of North Carolina Wilmington film program. This year’s competition drew entries from all over the United States and the world.
