Midwestern State University faculty, staff, and students will celebrate another momentous occasion in the university’s 100-year history with the Investiture of JuliAnn Mazachek as its 12th president Thursday, Nov. 3.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in MSU’s historic Akin Auditorium followed by a recessional parade along Council Drive to the Clark Student Center Atrium for a lunch reception.

Dignitaries in attendance will represent state, county, and local elected officials as well as leadership from Sheppard Air Force Base.

Mazachek was named the sole finalist in early March and was officially appointed as the 12th president of Midwestern State University on March 28, 2022, by Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, following a 21-day waiting period required by state law.
