Harvey Art Gallery to host Juried Student Exhibition

The Ralph and Juanita Harvey School of Art will showcase its students’ art in the Juried Student Exhibition opening March 11. The works will be displayed in the Juanita Harvey Gallery, the Foyer Gallery, and the Pit galleries in the Fain Fine Arts Building at Midwestern State University.

This year’s exhibition will be juried and arranged by Caleb Bell, curator of the Tyler Museum of Art in Tyler, Texas. Bell will also give a juror’s statement at a reception from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 25. Bell will select artworks from all the disciplines taught in the art department during the 2021-2022 academic year: ceramics, drawing, graphic design, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

The exhibition will close April 8. The gallery hours are from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact the Department of Art at 940-397-4243 to arrange for group tours or for more information.
