SBDC at MSU Texas celebrates chance to assist entrepreneurs

America’s Small Business Development Center at MSU Texas recently released its 2021 Year in Review and is excited about the opportunities to serve the community in 2022.

The SBDC’s clients received $21.1 million in CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) funding.

And 2021 numbers included 28 new businesses, 249 new jobs, 675 clients, 2,439 consulting sessions, 39 workshops, and 917 workshop attendees.

“It has been our privilege to assist entrepreneurs during these challenging times,” said Vanda Cullar, the regional director for America’s SBDC at MSU Texas. “While we know that every business owner has worried and likely cried some tears, it has been amazing to watch how the true spirit of entrepreneurs kicked into high gear. Their grit and determination and creativeness have allowed most to weather these trying times.”

Partners for the SBDC at MSU Texas are the U.S. Small Business Administration, State of Texas, MSU Texas and the Dillard College of Business Administration, Northwest Texas SBDC State Office, Wells Fargo Foundation, and Wichita Falls Southwest Rotary Club.
