MSU Texas PD welcomes two new officers

MSU Texas Police Department recently welcomed two new police officers to the MSU PD Team – Police Officer III John Butler and Police Officer III Wendell Smith.
Butler started with MSU PD in August 2021, and Smith began in October.
Butler is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, has worked in several police agencies throughout the State, and holds a Master Peace Officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
After 22 years of service, Smith recently retired from the Vernon, Texas, Police Department as a patrol lieutenant, and he also holds a Master Peace Officer certificate.
