Two exhibitions to open at Harvey Art Gallery
The Ralph & Juanita Harvey School of Visual Arts and the Lamar D. Fain College of Fine Arts at Midwestern State University will present the “2021 Alumni Exhibition” and “From the Ceramics Studio XV” Nov. 1-12.
The ceramics exhibition, hosted each year, is a showcase of artwork made by students in the ceramics community education program. Both ceramic sculptures and wheel-thrown pottery will be displayed in the Pit Gallery in the Fain Fine Arts Building.
The alumni exhibition will feature artwork of MSU Texas alumni from all disciplines taught in the School of Visual Arts: ceramics, drawing, graphic design, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. This exhibition will take place in both the Foyer Gallery in the Fain Fine Arts Building and a “pop-up” exhibition in windows of vacant stores in Sikes Senter Mall.
“This is an excellent chance for the public to see not only the work of talented artists who have graduated from the Harvey School of Visual Arts but also the talent that exists in the Wichita Falls community.”
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Contact Jessica Joplin at 940-397-4264 for more information.
