Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry comes by the wit with which she delivers her story of entrepreneurship, “Nuts about Success,” naturally. She is the great-granddaughter of legendary humorist and actor Will Rogers. Rogers-Etcheverry will be the first guest of Midwestern State University’s Fall 2021 Speakers & Issues Series.

Rogers-Etcheverry, the founder of My Husband’s Nuts almond operation, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas. The event is co-sponsored by the Dillard College of Business Administration.

When her family’s farm in California struggled in the 1990s, as did many farms across the country, Rogers-Etcheverry began a marketing campaign calling herself “The Farmer’s Wife.” Today, her almonds are in stores in 24 states, including Texas, and online with an accessory line available online also.

Rogers-Etcheverry travels the country promoting her great-grandfather’s legacy. She is co-founder of the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the Will Rogers State Historic Park in the Pacific Palisades. She is a board member for the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and Will Rogers Motion Pictures.

Her maternal grandfather was world champion bull rider and bareback rider Frank Schneider. Rogers, Schneider, and two of her great-uncles, Johnie Schneider and Burel Mulkey, have been inducted into the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, where she serves as an advisory member.
