Two performances are left in the 2018 Live at the Lake series, the musical evening hosted by the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas at the Priddy Pavillion. Rock, Paper, Scissors - a newly-formed group with local musicians and a new lead singer/songbird - will play an eclectic range of songs Thursday, July 26.

A performance postponed because of weather has been rescheduled for Aug. 9 to close out the series. The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra will present David Holcomb and the Gypsy Rustlers, a Dallas-based group playing a mix of gypsy jazz, western swing, blues, and bluegrass.

Performances are 6:30-8:30 p.m. Guests are invited to bring chairs and blankets. Gypsy Kit, Red River Hot Dogs, and Kona Ice food trucks will be on hand.

This was the 11th season for Live at the Lake. Other groups who participated this year include Cousin Fuzzy, the Jay Hollis Band, Walkin' Johnny, and the James Cook Band.

Mayfield Events has produced the sound for each group. Frank & Joe's Coffee House has been the event sponsor. Presenting sponsors include Stewart Title, McBride's Steakhouse, OK Concrete, and Another Man's Treasures and Estate Sales. WFMA also acknowledges the support of the Texas Commission on the Arts, the City of Wichita Falls, MSU Texas, and Standard Sales Company.

The mission of the WFMA is to enrich life in the community through new experiences in visual art for all ages. There is no admission fee, although donations are appreciated, and no memberships. There is ample parking and the building is ADA accessible. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
