Helping Those Affected by Hurricane Harvey
Disaster Relief Efforts
For those desiring to help with the relief efforts for our neighbors in Southeast Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey, the university has several initiatives under way:
♦ Hurricane Harvey Donation Bins are located at various locations throughout campus. The most crucially needed resources are new underwear, socks (all sizes), nonperishable food, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and baby diapers, wipes, and formula. To obtain a donation bin for your area, visit the Office of Student Development & Orientation in CSC 194. For more information, contact Ruby Arriaga at ruby.arriaga@msutexas.edu.
♦ The MSU Business Office has established an account for monetary donations. Donations may be made at the business window. All monies collected will go to the American Red Cross.
♦ The Texas Blood Institute's Bloodmobile will be on campus from noon-5 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, at the Jesse Rogers Promenade. Requests will be honored to send blood to the affected region.
♦ The American Red Cross is accepting volunteers. Please contact the American Red Cross for more information.
