WF Museum of Art at MSU to celebrate 50 with "Spring Fever"
The Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU is throwing a party to celebrate its 50th birthday. Spring Fever will take place from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, April 22, inside and outside the museum. The family-friendly free event will also celebrate Spring Fling, the beloved art fair that the museum hosted from 1972-2002.
Activities for children include face painting, clowns, a dunking booth, hands-on art projects, and other fun activities assisted by members of the Junior League of Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls Art Association and the MSU Chapter of the Kappa Pi Art Honor Society will offer artworks for sale by more than 20 artists in a variety of media. Local musical groups will perform throughout the day at the Priddy Pavilion, with the Jay Hollis Band closing out the celebration from 5-7 p.m.
The Fain Foundation is sponsoring the Spring Fever festival and other Golden Anniversary events.
