MSU Mass Comm to Host Social Media Day
From keeping up with family and friends to breaking news to promoting business, social media outlets have placed themselves in the center of our lives - whether we like it or not. Midwestern State University's Department of Mass Communication will host Social Media Day from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in Legacy Hall to explore the possibilities of social media.
Various sessions throughout the day will recognize and celebrate social media's influence on global communication and suggest ways to maximize your own or your brand's social media presence.
Participants will receive a virtual tour of the new mass communication building now under construction and an introduction to the mass communication program.
Admission is free but pre-registration is encouraged. Email Dr. Bradley Wilson at bradley.wilson@msutexas.edu with the names and email addresses of the attendees and #msusmday in the subject line before 5 p.m. Oct. 17. On-site registration will be allowed for people after that date.
