South Korean National Weightlifting Team to Train at MSU

The Department of Athletic Training & Exercise Physiology at Midwestern State University will host the National Weightlifting Team from the Republic of Korea from May 15-June 2.

The South Korean weightlifting team will compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and will use Midwestern State University as a training site. The delegation selected the university not only for its weightlifting facilities but also for acclimation of time zones and training conditions in Rio. The team is composed of 25 participants including coaches, athletes, and support staff.

A reception to welcome the South Korean team to the university will be at 9 a.m. Monday, May 16, in D.L. Ligon 223.
