MSU Professor Awarded National Service Award

Dr. Ben Velasquez, Associate Professor/Chair of the Department of Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology, is a 2016 recipient of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Athletic Trainer Service Award.

This prestigious national award recognizes NATA members for their exceptional contributions to the athletic training profession and the association. It reflects decades of service and leadership at the state and local levels. The award will be presented at the 2016 NATA National Convention in Baltimore this June.

Velasquez has been at MSU since 2010.

The NATA is the professional membership association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession. Founded in 1950, the NATA has more than 35,000 members worldwide.
