"Being awarded the President's Award by STC President Nicky Bleiel is, without a doubt, the highlight of my career as professor," said Henschel. "While a graduate student, I joined STC when I learned of the wealth of resources and connections the organization offers those in the field of technical communication. The benefits I received as a member were both immediate and long term." Henschel said that as a student she used STC's publications and resources for her studies and research, and began to make connections with professionals in the field. As a professor, she still continues to benefit through participation in the organization. "I am fortunate to be a part of this vibrant organization and am both humbled and honored to have received the President's Award," Henschel added.
STC is the world's largest and oldest professional association dedicated to the advancement of the field of technical communication, comprised of more than 5,000 members on six continents throughout its 80 chapters and 11 Special Interest Groups. STC members work in every industry, producing instructional manuals, online help, multimedia, training resources, and other forms of technical communication.
