MSU Ranks 12th in Texas for Online Affordability

In a recent analysis of accredited four-year public and private universities, Affordable Colleges Online (AC Online) has ranked Midwestern State University 12th in the state for offering the most affordable online degree programs.

In a press release, AC Online founder and CEO Dan Schuessler stated, "According to our research, your college offers an exceptional collection of distance learning options at a very affordable price. This combination of quality, affordability, and flexibility earned you a place on our new list."

"It's exciting to see the online programs receiving the recognition they deserve," said Dr. Pamela Morgan, Director of the Center for Continuing, Professional, and Distance Education. "Our faculty and administration have worked diligently over the last 15 years to develop and deliver quality online courses and programs to our students."

Morgan said that the list of Internet courses offered at MSU continues to expand each semester. "These courses are becoming increasingly popular with the students both on campus and at a distance," she said. More than 2,000 students were enrolled in an Internet course this semester. MSU's distance-learning programs include an RN-to-BSN degree in nursing, a Bachelor in Radiologic Sciences, a Master's of Public Administration, and other degrees and courses. MSU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

"Distance learning helps students receive a top-notch education while they take care of family and work responsibilities. Institutions that make quality distance learning affordable show clear commitment to student success and therefore deserve special recognition," Schuessler stated. "Offering students great online programs is only half the battle. The colleges on our list offer students quality, flexibility and affordability."
