FowlÚ Named Vice President for Business Affairs & Finance

Midwestern State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Marilyn FowlÚ as Vice President for Business Affairs and Finance effective September 1, 2012. She succeeds Mr. Juan Sandoval who served the university from August 2005 to August of this year.

 

Most recently FowlÚ served as Vice President for Administration and Finance at Texas A & M University-Kingsville. Her professional background also includes service as Vice President for Business and Finance at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia; Vice President for Business and Administrative Services at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota; Executive Assistant to the CEO and Interim Associate Vice President for Administration/Assistant to the CEO at Texas A & M University-Galveston; and Director of Operating Budgets at the University of Houston, Houston, Texas.

 

She has received a number of grants from the National Science Foundation, the U. S. Department of Education, and the State of Texas. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, FowlÚ holds a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Business Administration-Finance from Rice University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration-Management from the University of Houston, Clearlake.
