Internet Service Upgrade Begins May 19

On May 19, MSU will move to a new Internet Service Provider and will upgrade the university's Internet connection from 45 Mb to 200 Mb. The switch will require MSU to use different IP addressing for its externally available systems such as web, email, WebCT, banner web, etc. 

The new configuration of systems will begin at midnight May 19 and the conversion will begin at 8 a.m. Once the work is completed the change will take from 24 to 36 hours to replicate to systems around the world. During this replication time the MSU system will likely be unreachable from the Internet.
