Annual Community Health Fair Scheduled for April 29
MSU's College of Health Sciences and Human Services will sponsor its 11th Annual Community Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the Museum of Art at MSU. Information will be available about disease prevention, injury prevention, health promotion, and more.
Participants can take part in the following:
Texas Blood Institute will conduct blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Wichita Falls Health District will provide free HIV tests and check cholesterol and lipids for $10.
United Regional Health Care System will provide free glucose screenings. Those wanting to be tested should fast for eight hours.
Southwest Transplant Alliance will register organ donors.
Hospice will be available to help participants with advance directives.
Screenings also will be available for vision, glaucoma, hearing, blood pressure and pulse, stroke, body weight, and lung function.
To contribute to the health of the community, participants are asked to bring canned food items for the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and/or recycle old prescription eyeglasses for the Lions Recycle For Sight program.
