MSU Sets Record Enrollment for Spring

Midwestern State University set a new record for spring enrollment with a total of 6,091 students. This is a 0.58 percent increase compared to spring 2010. Of the students enrolled this spring, 67 percent are full-time students.

"We feel good about our recruitment/retention efforts despite having a large graduating class in December," stated Dr. Robert E. Clark, Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness. "We are delighted to see the increase in enrollment and more students committing to full-time studies."

The senior classification showed the largest gain of students at 101, and the junior classification had an increase of 58. Total semester credit hours are shown at 68,997, also up 2.04 percent over last spring's figures.
