Juanita Harvey Art Gallery opens new exhibition
The Juanita Harvey Art Gallery will present Luke Sides, an exhibition of sculptural works by Luke Sides, a Professor of Art at Collin County Community College District in Plano, TX. Sides' sculptures are created using a variety of materials and processes including steel fabrication, cast bronze, plastics, and woodcarving. His work is presented in a variety of methods, from large scale free standing sculpture, to small and vulnerable pedestal pieces. His work is both a satirical and material play on words. He uses commonly known modern objects combined with traditional media to give a light hearted perspective on the world around him.
