Percussion and Steel Pans ensembles offer free concert

The MSU Percussion and Steel Pans ensembles will present An Evening of Percussion and Pan on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Akin Auditorium.  Music written specifically for percussion instruments and steel pans will be presented.  Highlights of the evening will include one of the best known classic percussion pieces, and a piece by Alan Black, director of the groups.   The Caribbean Pan Ensemble and the Steel Bandits will play soca and calypso music from the islands.  The concert is free.
