Second Biennial Survey of Texas Art and Artists

Second Biennial Survey of Texas Art and Artists

Works of art by a dozen Texas artists will be exhibited at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU with the opening of the WFMA's Second Biennial Survey of Texas Art and Artists on April 3.

Texas Twelve, The 2nd Biennial Survey of Texas Art and Artists at WFMA is the only invitational biennial exhibition of Texas artists in the state.  The artists featured in the 2009 installment were enlisted by curator Danny Bills and museum director Cohn Drennan.  "The museum's mission with this exhibit is to bring art that is currently being produced from different regions of the state to audiences in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma," Drennan said. "These are artists whose work is relevant in the current development of art and its dialogue across the state."

The public is invited to the exhibition opening April 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Most of the presenting artists are expected to be in attendance.  The exhibit will be on display through June 6.
