Artist Lecture Series presents jazz trio Three's a Crowd

Three's a crowd implies the presence of one too many in a given situation. In this case, the phrase has been twisted to take on another meaning. With their unconventional line-up, this threesome not only fulfills the definition of a trio, but offers musical proof that three can indeed be more than enough.

Shaunette Hildabrand, Bernd Lhotzky, and Frank Roberscheuten began working together when the eight-piece group Echoes of Swing orchestra was formed, and it was during this time that the idea of a trio developed.

The concerts they give take on classical tinge because of their musical upbringing, but the predominate element remains jazz.
