MSU students to get new housing

Housing now receives more requests than they have rooms to offer.  In fact most reservations for housing are full by April preceding the start of the fall semester. Due to the increase in the number of students coming from outside Wichita County, the demand continues to increase.

Apartment-style housing, with individual private bedrooms, is in great demand with current students. Sunwatcher Village was the first apartment-style housing on the MSU campus which opened in fall 2003.

The $21 million, three-story facility will feature one-bedroom, two-bedroom and four-bedroom options. The current design features archways and an internal green courtyard space. All units will offer double beds, dresser, desk and walk-in closet for each student, and a full-sized washer and dryer.

The units are scheduled to open in fall 2009.
