One Book One Community

The second annual One Book One Community project will sponsor the following programs during October.

Book discussions will be held at Moffett Library and at the Wichita Falls Public Library. Moffett's brown bag book discussion will be led by Jason Brezina, head of circulation services at noon Oct. 15.

This year's city-wide book is "Rocket Boys" by Homer Hickam. Copies of the book are available at Hastings and at both the public and the university libraries.

The goals of this project are to increase literacy in the city, to foster discussion of issues, and to connect segments of the community through shared experiences. Other activities include a trivia contest of life in the 1950s and an essay writing contest.
