Mustangs Remain Second in South Central Poll
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - - The Midwestern State softball did not play any games last week, thus there regional ranking did not change, as they remained number two in the latest NCAA South Central Region poll.
The top eight teams in the poll make the NCAA Regional tournament, with the top team overall hosting the tournament.
Midwestern (36-13, 15-5) is currently in first place in the Lone Star Conference North Division, and will be in action again on Thursday, when they travel to play Southwestern Oklahoma State. The two teams will play a doubleheader, with game one set to start at 2:00 p.m. in Weatherford.
