Mustangs Move Into Regional Poll
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - - The Midwestern State softball team moved into the regional rankings for the first time this year, as they are ranked seventh in the latest NCAA South Central Region poll.
The top eight teams in the poll make the NCAA Regional tournament, with the top team overall hosting the tournament.
Midwestern (34-13, 13-5) is currently second in the Lone Star Conference North Division, and will be in action again on Saturday, when they travel to play Northeastern State (Okla.). The two teams will play a doubleheader, with game one set to start at 2:00 p.m. in Tahlequah.
