Mustangs Ink Logan
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Wichita Falls High School standout Charlie Logan signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Midwestern State University on Wednesday, the first day of the traditional signing period for basketball.
Logan, a 6-6 forward, was a two-time first-team District 5-4A selection and the 5-4A Defensive Player of the Year this past season.
Logan averaged 12.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots in his two-year varsity career for the Coyotes.
"Charlie plays hard, above the rim and is a great addition to our team," said MSU head coach Jeff Ray. "I've watched Charlie since his freshman year in high school and he's grown into a fine young man."
"Charlie has a great attitude and works very hard. He's got his best basketball ahead of him."
Logan helped "Old High" to a playoff appearances in both his junior and senior seasons. WFHS was 26-5 advanced to the regional quarterfinals in 2007 and 23-9 and the area round in 2006.
MSU finished 2006-07 ranked 19th in the NABC Division II Top 25 with a 24-7 record, advancing to the NCAA Division II South Central regional semifinals.
