WICHITA FALLS, Texas - - The Lone Star Conference announced its weekly softball honors with Katie Petersen nabbing LSC North Pitcher of the Week.

                Petersen, who had a no-hitter thru six and two-thirds innings on Sunday, was key in helping the Mustangs go a perfect 4-0 last week in LSC North play against nationally ranked Northeastern State. She finished the week with a 2-0 record, 0.00 Earned Run Average, and 20 strikeouts. She had two complete game shutouts and allowed only five hits.

MSU (36-13, 15-5), who is currently on an four game winning streak, returns to the diamond next week when they face Southwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday April 24. The two teams will play a doubleheader with game one set to start at 1:00 p.m. in Weatherford.
