An Evening of Percussion and Pan (Apr 3)

The MSU Percussion Ensemble and steel pan ensembles, directed by Alan Black, will present "An Evening of Percussion and Pan." Special guests for this concert will be the Red Oak High School percussion ensembles, under the direction of MSU graduate Tahlequah Kirk. They, along with the MSU Percussion Ensemble, the Caribbean Ensemble, and the Steel Bandits, will perform a variety of percussion and steel pan pieces that will be exciting and keep the toes tapping. The program will include such tunes as Head Talk for heads without drums, Synchronicity by The Police, Variations on a Ghanian Theme and Rockaway for handclapping and body percussion.
