The Mustangs eventually got the lead up to 21 at 61-40 with 6:41 to play, then played to keep the clock running as much as possible.

The game was dominated inside by Eric Dawson who collected his 17th double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while blocking three shots, chalking up three steals and dishing out four assists to lead MSU.
