Kuchenski named LSC North Pitcher of the Week

junior Ashley Kuchenski was named the Lone Star Conference North Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last weekend for the Mustangs.

The 5-9 left-hander from Magnolia, picked up two wins in leading MSU to the championship of the Mustangs Invitational last weekend. She threw two complete games, winning the championship game 9-0 over

Northeastern

State

and a pool game against West Texas A&M 9-1 in six innings.

Kuchenski allowed only one unearned run in 13 innings, striking out 13 while giving up two walks in the two contests.

outfielder Ashley Graham as the LSC North Hitter of the Week. The LSC South honorees are

's Macy Baker and Kari Galm as hitter and pitcher respectively.

MSU is back in action Saturday and Sunday in the Texas A&M-Kingsville Tournament.
