Mustangs run over Greyhounds

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Senior running back Ulysses Odoms had a career day Saturday afternoon in leading the Midwestern State University Mustangs to a 29-19 Lone Star Conference South victory over Eastern New Mexico at Memorial Stadium.

Odoms, a 5-8 senior from

New Orleans
,
La.
/Ehret, carried the ball 17 times for 203 yards with three touchdowns. He had two of his longest runs of his career on touchdown scampers of 60 and 71 yards.

Mustang quarterback Daniel Polk came off the bench to throw for 148 yards on 13-of-19 passing, while rushing for 61 yards himself.

MSU (8-2, 6-2 all Lone Star Conference, 3-2 LSC South) took the lead early on Odoms 60-yard run. However, the point-after kick by Ben White was blocked and ENMU's Brandon Harper scooped up the loose ball and returned it for the first-ever defensive PAT against the Mustangs.

But when MSU got the ball back, it was Odoms once again, who broke free for a career-long 71 yard score to give Midwestern a 12-2 advantage.

Odoms capped his scoring day with a one-yard plunge to cap a season-long 15-play drive.

Kicker Kristian Foster added his ninth field goal of the year, a 39-yarder at the end of the half.
