WICHITA
FALLS, - There was no change from the previous week in the last NCAA Division II Southwest Regional rankings released by the NCAA before next Sunday's championship selection.
The Midwestern State University Mustangs (8-2) remained in the seventh spot in the regional poll after beating Eastern New Mexico
29-19 last Saturday.
All 12 spots in the poll remained the same, with Northwest
Missouri
State
(10-0), Chadron
State
(Neb.
) (10-0) and (9-1) and Tarleton State (6-3) staying one through four.
Abilene Christian (8-1) is five, with West Texas A&M (9-1) six and MSU seven.
Pittsburg
State
(Kan.
) (8-2) stayed eighth despite a 41-14 loss to the regions top team, Northwest Missouri
. Fort
Lewis
(Colo.
) is ninth, Southwestern
Oklahoma
State
(6-4) 10th, Washburn () (6-4) 11th and Nebraska-Kearney (5-4) rounding out the 12 teams in the poll.
The top six teams in the region advance to the NCAA Division II Championships when the bracket is released Sunday afternoon. The announcement will be between noon and 3 p.m., on ESPNEWS.
MSU plays its final regular season game Saturday at Shotwell Stadium in against Abilene Christian, in a game to that will determine a playoff berth. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
