MSU draws largest crowd for NCAA II First Round Games

at Memorial Stadium was something to crow about.

In examining the announced attendance figures of the eight first-round NCAA Division II Football Championship games played on Saturday, Midwestern State's 6,237 was the best by more than 1,000 people.

"The crowd Saturday was fantastic," said MSU coach Bill Maskill. "They were loud and really into the game. They were really a 12th man for us in the game."

The gathering witnessed one of the greatest comebacks in MSU history as the Mustangs scored two touchdowns in the final 3:41, including the game-winner with 31 seconds to play.

No. 18 MSU, the fourth seed in the NCAA II Southwest Region, travels to

Maryville

Mo.
, this coming Saturday to face top-seeded and No. 2 Northwest Missouri State at Bearcat Stadium at 12 noon.
