UCO Downs MSU, 4-1

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State University women's soccer team lost their final game of the regular season Sunday to number 17 Central Oklahoma , 4-1.

With the loss, MSU (9-7-1, 5-3-1) will be the fifth seed in next weekend's Lone Star Conference soccer Championship Tournament. UCO (16-3-0, 9-0-0) will host the tournament, which starts Thursday in

Edmond
(
Okla.
).

The lone goal for the Mustangs came on a penalty kick in the second half off the foot of Kari Bristow, her fifth goal of the season.

Midwestern used two goal keepers, with Heather Primavera saving three of the seven shots she faced, and Ashley Meek saving four of the ten shots that she faced. Both keepers gave up two goals.

The loss over shadowed senior night for the Mustangs. Kellie Tanner was the lone senior for the women, and was honored in a ceremony prior to kick-off.

MSU will play the fourth seeded Angelo State Rambelles on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., in the first round of the LSC tournament, with the winner to play UCO.
