Mustangs have strong showing in LSC Championships

WICHITA FALLS , Texas  - The Midwestern State University Tennis team had a strong showing in the first day of the Lone Star Conference Individual Tennis Championships.

The men placed four players in the finals, and had two doubles pairs advance as well. The women were able to place one player in the semi-finals, and one pair in doubles action.

Men to advance in singles action were Brett Emerson, Stefan McKinney, Charles Van Swelm, and Ivan Camillo. The doubles pairs of Emerson and Zach Dillard, and McKinney and Van Swelm, will play in the finals as well.

For the women, Collean Kinzer and the doubles pair of Cilia Muller and Janell Hetherington will play in the semi-finals.

Men's finals will start at 8:30 am at Weeks  Park  Tennis  Center. The women will begin semi-final action at the same time, but will be playing at the Hamilton Park Tennis center. Singles action will be first, followed by doubles.
