Mustangs Cruise to Seventh Straight
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State University Mustangs picked up their seventh straight win, beating Texas Wesleyan 9-0 on Thursday, at the MSU soccer field.
The game was the final home game for seniors Sun Potter, Brandon Swartzendruber, and Daniel Woolard. The three seniors combined for six goals and five assists on their big night.
The trio did score the first three goals of the night, lead by Potter in points, with eight, scoring on two goals and a team high four assists. Swartzendruber followed with seven, on three goals and one assist. Woolard, who meanly plays defense, scored his first goal of the season on a corner kick from Daniel Brown.
The seniors were not the only players to score though. Junior Daniel Brown , and freshmen Daniel Goss and Matt Nauman, also scored. All three were the players second on the season.
The Mustangs well travel to Conway Arkansas to take on Division I Central Arkansas. The match is set for a 1 p.m. game Sunday.
