Sucura named offensive line coach

 WICHITA FALLS,  Texas - Midwestern State  University head football coach Bill Maskill announced the hiring of David Sucura as assistant football coach for the Mustangs.

Sucura will handle offensive line duties.

"Dave Sucura is a guy that comes very highly recommended will be an excellent addition to the staff," Maskill said.

Sucura served as offensive line and tight ends coach at ClarkAtlanta  University in Georgia last season after serving two seasons as a graduate assistant at Michigan  State  University, his alma mater.

"He brings a tremendous amount of energy, enthusiasm and technical knowledge to the staff," Maskill said.

Sucura was three-year starter on the offensive line for the Spartans and played two years in the Arena2 Football League with the Tennessee Valley Vipers.

He replaces Steve DeMasi, who replaced Jeep Wade in February. Wade departed in January to be an assistant coach at Division I-AA Tennessee-Martin.

Sucura arrives in time for spring drills which will culminate with the spring game on April 8 at noon.
