Faurot, Robertson named to LSC South Commissioner's Honor Roll
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State University seniors Angie Faurot and Katie Robertson were named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll Monday when league officials announced conference all-academic honors.
Tarleton State's Ivetta Griffin was named the South Division's Academic Player of the Year and
West Texas A&;M sophomore Tyler Cooper was tapped the men's Academic Player of the Year.
To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must have reached sophomore status and carry at least a 3.20 grade-point average.
The All-Academic Team is selected from the list of academically qualified players, with the league's sports information directors voting on the basis of both academic and athletic achievement.
All qualifying student athletes not selected for the All-Academic Team are then named to the honor roll.
Faurot averaged 12 points a game this season for the Mustangs and hit 41.4 percent from 3-point range.
Robertson scored 8.1 points, dished out three assists and pulled down 3.5 rebounds per contest.
